With the recent introduction of the U.S. AI Civil Rights Act, a new wave of AI governance is emerging, offering valuable lessons for South Africa’s own policy evolution. As AI reshapes industries and societies, it’s crucial that our policies grow with it—ensuring fairness, transparency, and protection of civil rights.
