Expertise

Shivani was admitted as an attorney in 2015. She is an experienced litigator with extensive experience in commercial disputes in the Magistrate’s Courts, High Courts, Supreme Court of Appeal and in arbitrations. She has a special focus on:

contractual claims;
commercial disputes;
Insolvency (liquidations and sequestrations);
The conduct of enquiries for liquidators and creditors and litigation arising therefrom;
Commercial arbitrations.

She advises and acts for a multinational packaging company, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, in several litigation matters. She has been involved in several commercial disputes against various parastatals, including high profile litigious matters relating to allegations of corruption and state capture.
